Back to school... for cuisine with PreGel products
In 2011 the company will be sponsoring two prestigious schools of cuisine: Alma and CASTAlimenti, both formed thanks to great masters of taste: the chef Gualtiero Marchesi and the confectioner Iginio Massari.
The year 2011 is going to see a continuation of the collaboration between PreGel and Alma, the International School of Italian Cuisine directed by the Rector Gualtiero Marchesi, that each year trains the future professionals of catering and the world of wine.
Last year, over 2000 students got first-hand knowledge of PreGel's products – from bases for making artisan gelato to semi-finished products for confectioners and gelato shops, following dedicated courses and using the ingredients and technological aids created by the company also for the catering and coffee-shop sector.
As regards the year that has just begun, it is proving to be equally promising: Alma keeps on growing, simply considering the investments that have led to the construction of a new Gelato/Confectionery centre and the specific training room for the basic techniques. The students in the courses will very soon “get their hands working” to create tasty gelato, desserts and pastries thanks to PreGel's products.
Alongside the consolidated relationship with Alma, 2011 is starting with a new partnership with CASTAlimenti - Centro Arte, Scienza e Tecnologia dell'Alimento (Centre for Food Art, Science and Technology) – a major school of cuisine in Brescia, that provides professional training in the subjects of cuisine, confectionery, chocolate, gelato, cafés, bread and pizza making. Conceived by the current Director and President Vittorio Santoro together with "the most famous confectioner in Italy”, Iginio Massari, and other leading figures in Italian catering, this school is the goal of over 5,000 professionals a year with courses, events, meetings with companies and competitions at national and international level. PreGel, as of this year, being the Institute's main Sponsor, is going to be a key player both providing its own products and actively taking part in training the people who have enrolled, having its own Technicians join the Institute's teachers during the training courses.
